Session Length, Pricing, and Insurance
Research supports longer sessions for better outcomes in couples work.
Boise Couples Therapy offers more of an intensive-style couples therapy experience, with longer session lengths, and the opportunity to choose your session frequency, including meeting more than once weekly if your relationship could benefit from greater support.
Couples largely prefer longer sessions, and find that having at least 75 minutes allows both partners to take comfort in knowing that there is adequate time for each partner to be able to share.
Can we do a 60 minute session?
In some circumstances, 60 minutes is an adequate therapy session length. For example, if the session is a follow-up or “maintenance” session. This can certainly be an option on a case-by-case basis, and these sessions are $175.
Sessions are offered in-office as well as telehealth:
75 minutes: $195
90 minutes: $235
120 minutes: $310
Boise Couples Therapy is an out-of-network private practice, which allows me to structure couples therapy around what is most clinically helpful for your relationship rather than around insurance requirements. This includes offering extended 75, 90, and 120-minute sessions.
Although I am not in-network with insurance companies, you may still be able to receive reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. I offer Mentaya, a service that checks your out of network benefits and automatically submits claims to your insurance company on your behalf for possible reimbursement. Because every insurance plan is different, reimbursement cannot be guaranteed.
Mentaya is an easy and automated process that I offer completely free to my clients. It does not require you to submit any superbills to your insurance, as this service does it all for you automatically after each session.
